Nail Art I-LAK Mini Christmas 2018

This summer’s fruity, sunny colours have now given way to the dark colours that are the thing this winter. Peggy Sage presents three timeless looks that you can create with the new Christmas 2018 I-LAK products: a gorgeous matching range of red, plum, beige and chestnut colours that will make all your Christmas wishes come true.

In these tutorials, we show you how to achieve an ultra-creative White Flower and Ladybird design and a simple and elegant Arabesque. We also feature another new trend: the graphic manicure, the must-have arty make-up look for the 2018/2019 autumn and winter season.

Don’t forget that when you are creating any of these looks, properly preparing your nails is important to make sure they have a lasting hold.

Make sure your hands are clean and your nails suitably filed. To ensure a better hold for the lacquer, you can lightly roughen the surface of your nails with a sanding block 122210. Degrease your nails with a soaking pad soaked in triple-action cleaner ref. 146018 and then apply your I-LAK MINI UV base ref. 190500. Catalyze for 10 seconds under an LED lamp or 1 minute under a UV lamp.

White Flower and Ladybird look

(For all I-LAK colours with glossy and mat finishes: catalyze for 30 seconds under an LED lamp or 2 minutes under a UV lamp after each coat.)

Apply two coats of Red Ceremony I-LAK ref. 190649 to your thumb and little finger, catalyzing after each coat. Next, apply I-LAK MINI UV top finish ref. 190501 and catalyze.

On your ring finger, apply justone coat of Red Ceremony I-LAK ref. 190649 and catalyze. Apply I-LAK MINI UV top finish ref. 190501, do not catalyze, and then sprinkle on small Crystal Pixie Radiant Red ref. 148052 on your ring finger and catalyze.

Apply two coats of Nuit I-LAK ref. 190002 to your index and middle fingers, catalyzing after each coat.Using nail art paint ref. 149930 or blizzard white gel paint ref. 146940 and brush ref. 141059, paint your design on by hand and then catalyze. To finish off, apply I-LAK MINI UV top finish ref. 190501, do not catalyze, place on your rhinestones ref. 148016, 148050 and 148570 and then catalyze. Degrease all your nails with triple-action cleaner 146018. Your gorgeously creative and original look is finished!

Arabesque look

(For all I-LAK colours with glossy and mat finishes: catalyze for 30 seconds under an LED lamp or 2 minutes under a UV lamp after each coat.)

Apply two coats of Merry Burgundy I-LAK ref. 190650 to your thumb, index, middle and ring fingers, catalyzing after each coat.Next, apply I-LAK MINI UV mat top finish ref. 190800 to your thumb and index finger. Catalyze.

Paint your design on your middle finger and ring finger using brush ref. 141059 and Precious Dream I-LAK ref. 190646, then catalyze. Fill in your design where required with Red Ceremony 190649 and then catalyze. Apply I-LAK MINI UV top finish ref. 190501, do not catalyze, then place on your rhinestones ref. 148016 and catalyze.

Apply two coats of Father Christmas ref. 190648 to your little finger, catalyzing after each coat.Now apply I-LAK MINI UV mat top finish ref. 190800 and catalyze. Degrease all your nails with triple-action cleaner ref. 146018. This will create the matt effect. That’s it!

Graphic look

(For all I-LAK colours with glossy and mat finishes: catalyze for 30 seconds under an LED lamp or 2 minutes under a UV lamp after each coat.)

Apply two coats of Holy Night I-LAK ref. 190645 to your thumb, index finger and little finger, catalyzing after each coat.

Apply two coats of Organdi Chéri I-LAK ref. 190602 to your middle and ring fingers, catalyzing after each coat.Paint on your design using brush ref. 141059 and Shiny Flakes I-LAK ref. 190647, then catalyze. Apply I-LAK MINI UV top finish ref. 190501 and catalyze to protect your nail art. Degrease your nails with triple-action cleaner 146018 and then place on your nail sticker ref. 149240. To finish, apply I-LAK MINI UV top finish ref. 190501 to all of your nails and catalyze. Degrease all your nails with triple-action cleaner 146018. And there you have it! Fabulous up-to-the-minute nail art!
