Beauty routine: light up your face!

Cleansed skin is perfect skin! Taking off your make-up is just as important as putting it on, although there are some who prefer to slip into bed without spending the requisite time in the bathroom! This simple step rids your skin of all the impurities it has accumulated during the day. Start with the fragile area around your eyes. Here the skin is only one tenth as thick as it is on the rest of your face, so we recommend using a cleanser formulated especially for the eyes. Soak a cotton wool disc with the product and apply it gently to your eyelids and eyelashes, without rubbing. Leave it to work for a few seconds, then fold the pad around your eyelash fringe to remove the excess. Next, move on to cleansing your face. Start off by choosing a milk, oil or cleanser that is suitable for your skin type. Once you have selected your product, place a small amount either onto two cotton wool discs or directly onto your face and cleanse using circular strokes, working from the inside of your face outwards, from your chin up to your forehead and then from your chin down to your décolleté. Lastly, to remove the last of the impurities, use a lotion applied with two cotton wool discs, repeating the same actions as before.

Scrub up! Exfoliating with a scrub regenerates your skin by eliminating the dead skin cells that suffocate it. Apply a small blob of the scrub to your wet skin using light circular strokes. As for step 1, work from the inside of your face outwards. It is a good idea to exfoliate every week, but you should tailor the frequency and the intensity of your exfoliation to your skin type.

Mask on! For a deep-down facial treatment you can apply a mask once or twice a week. Apply it to your face and neck, avoiding the area around the eyes. Leave it to work and then remove it gently.

Careful around the eyes! This area, which is particularly susceptible to fine lines caused by dehydration and the appearance of dark circles, requires special attention. For effective protection, apply an eye cream morning and night, smoothing it from the inside outwards onto the area underneath your eyes and then tapping and pinching the skin lightly to stimulate the circulation.

The crème de la crème! It would be a shame if all that were for nothing... So, finish off your beauty routine by protecting your skin. The best way to do this is with a few drops of a facial serum, which complements your cream and helps the active ingredients to penetrate. Warm a few drops between the palms of your hands and then press it on using the whole of your palm. For better penetration, wait for 1 to 2 minutes. You can now apply your day cream, patting it on to your face, neck and décolleté with your fingertips (avoiding the area around your eyes) and then encouraging it to penetrate by rubbing it in very gently, working from the inside of your face outwards, and by smoothing your skin in an upwards direction.
